Fitness First @ Menara Maxis

Have you noticed there's a Fitness First gym in Menara Maxis, right next to the KLCC Twin Towers? Here's how it looks like:

When you enter the Menara Maxis lobby, you gotta report to the security card telling him you're not there to plant a bomb or blow yourself up with a bomb. You also need to hand over your IC for him to scan and validate that you're a human being.

Guard: IC mana?
Me: Nah...
Guard: Mali sini apa buat?
Me: Mau kembangkan otot...
Guard: Apa?!?! (hand move slowly to reach pistol)
Me: Mau pegi Fitness First eksesais sket.
Guard: Ooh... (scan IC). First time mai sini?
Me: Yes. Betul. Pandai pakcik. Mana you tau?
Guard: Ini dia u punya visitor kad. Pii podah!

The gym is on the 3rd floor. When you exit the elevator it looks like this:

Fitness First Menara Maxis, 3rd Floor

Visitor pass and FF membercard

First thing you need to do when you enter FF gym is to locate the male changing room. I ended up upstairs with my backpack like a sohai, turn one big round, then back downstairs again. The male and female changing rooms are at the two extreme corners of the gym. Cacat! The equipment layout also a bit cacated.

The cable/weighted machines are clustered in the center. The treadmills/cardiowave/ladder stepper/etc. are laid in a hemispheric design next to the huge glass windows. Not all of the cardio machines have dedicated LCD monitors for Astro. Cacat!

Too clustered. My muscles got entangled in between the metals when walking by.

Not all machines can watch Astro. Sien. Cacatness redefined!

Staircase to upstairs section. So open, scary shit! Like not steady like that.

The free-weight section. Not very big hor?

BodyPump GroupX session.

Besides the cacated layout and the hassle just to get into the gym, and also exorbitant parking fees in KLCC, FF Menara Maxis is definitely a no-no. Unless your frens wanna watch movie in KLCC and you dowan, then u can go sweat it out there for 2 hours loh!

The exit from elevator area; Menara Maxis lobby.

The changing room is huge, much bigger than FF Cheras Leisure Mall, but the layout again is very cacated. It's like a maze. One wrong turn and you end up staring a fat hairy Indian uncle staring down at you. Shower not well maintained, very dirty!

Verdict: FF Cheras Leisure Mall best!
