G.P. Posting

Being attached to this crapshit Family Medicine posting means you've gotta do shit things too, like asking around for GPs (general practitioners/small-time clinic doctors) to babysit you for 1 week. Mine is again, at Taman Putra, Ampang.

Klinik Dr. Abdul Razak

The clinic is called "Klinik Dr. Abdul Razak". I wonder why the doctor didn't include his father's name, so that his signage could be longer and more conspicuous. Something like "Kelinik Doktor Abdul Razak bin Tuan Haji Yahya Yaa'kob Abdul Samad" would certainly catch motorist's attention and cause accidents and thus more customers.

This clinic is just a few steps away from my previous GP posting clinic few years back (Klinik Malaysia & Surgeri, KMS).

This clinic was established around 20 yrs ago. I came here regularly for my routine nebulisers as a kid.

Dr. Abd. Razak denied having beared grudges with the KMS doctor and claimed that competition was not a problem. BTW, his clinic was established some 6-7 yrs back. Here's how far the two clinics were separated:

Dr. Abd. Razak is definitely cool. He's a soft-spoken gentleman and exudes loads of professionalism. But sadly, his clinic settings gave me an impression that he caters specially for the Malay race. Over the past 4 days, I'd only seen ONE Chinese patient. The rest were 100% Malays. Customer number wise, KMS wins hands-down. But in terms of quality of follow-up and consultation, Abd. Razak is the man to see.
